The practice was formed in 1969, the principal Robert Hayes having qualified at The Royal West of England Academy School of Architecture, Bristol (RWA Dip.Arch) in 1961, becoming a member of the RIBA in 1962.
The practice is currently involved in the design of 'one-off' houses and residential refurbishment, albeit many commercial and industrial projects have been completed for British Oil & Gas Ltd in London and Houston, Brita Water (UK) Ltd, Thorn EMI, and Unilever nationally.
A full architectural service is offered from concept to completion, the principal having a ‘hands on’ relationship throughout the design and building of the project.
Additional advice is also offered regarding planning and party wall procedures.
As architects we are at the "crossroads" of all aspects of the decision making process, be they:
- feasibility studies
- design & planning procedures
- statutory approvals
- budget estimates and cost analysis
- co-ordination of building services
- legal considerations
- form of contract and tendering procedure
- on site inspections
- final inspection & handover
- space planning
- interior design
